After a nice evening clouds will increase later tonight. As a cold front approaches, some rain showers will develop after midnight tonight. It won’t be quite as cool as last night with lows in the 40s east of I-99 but it will start to turn windy and colder to the west with some of those places dropping into the 30s by sunrise. Snowflakes may mix in on the ridges by morning.
This cold front will sweep to the east Thursday morning. In it’s wake, temperatures will likely drop some with a gusty wind during the morning hours and then will hold nearly steady during the afternoon. Rain showers will mix with and change to snow showers in places, especially on the ridges where temperatures will not rise out of the 30s. Some wind gusts will reach over 40mph during the day on Thursday. Thursday night will be chilly with some leftover clouds and lows in the 20s to near 30.
An area of high pressure will then settle over the region for much nicer weather by the weekend. Friday will feature times of clouds and sunshine, but the day will end up mostly sunny. It will be a chilly day for this time of the year with highs in the 40s. Saturday will feature a good deal of sunshine for the Blue-White game. Don’t forget the sunscreen if you are going to be out for a while Saturday. Highs will be in the 50s, which is cool for late-April, but it will feature comfortable in the sun. Sunday will be a bit milder with a sunny to partly cloudy sky. Highs will be in the 50s to near 60. We’ll warm to near to just above 60 on Monday with some sunshine. Some clouds may start to drift into the region on Tuesday, but it should still be mild with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Wednesday will be rather cloudy with showers and drizzle.
