Evening Weather Forecast Tuesday, October 16th, 2018


Tonight will stay brisk and chilly with a clear to partly cloudy sky. There will be a little more in the way of clouds the farther south your area located. Another front will move in from the northwest Wednesday. Ahead of this front we will end up with a partly to mostly cloudy sky with an increasing wind on Wednesday. Some wind gusts will reach over 30mph.

This front will bring a scattering of showers to the northwestern part of the region later Wednesday. Behind the front, the rain showers may end as some flurries for the far northwestern part of the region. High temperatures on Wednesday will range from the 40s to the west of Route 219 to the middle 50s in some of the deeper valleys east of I-99. Temperatures will plunge well into the 30s for a low Wednesday night, some places will drop below freezing. Thursday will start off with a good deal of clouds and a brisk wind then clouds will break for some sunshine during the afternoon. Despite the return of sunshine it will still be chilly with highs in the 40s to near 50. We’re going to have a freeze in some locations Thursday night into Friday morning. This chill will ease on Friday as an area of high pressure settles to our south and east. We’ll have a bit of a breeze on Friday with a mix of clouds and sunshine along with highs in the 50s to near 60.  The next system will bring plenty of clouds with showers and drizzle Saturday. Behind that system it will turn much colder again on Sunday with a gusty wind and highs in the lower to middle 40s. Some of the higher elevations will not get out of the 30s. We will have some flurries on Sunday with even a ground whitening snow shower across some of the higher terrain. Temperatures on Monday will once again fail to rise out of the 40s. Wednesday will not be quite as chilly with clouds and sunshine. Highs will be in the 40s to the lower 50s. We’ll stay a little cooler than average through the rest of next week.
