The area of high pressure that has brought the nice weather over the past couple of days will continue to be an influence into the end of the work week. Tonight will still be clear and comfortable. It won’t be quite as cool as last night, but lows will still be in the 50s in most places. As this high pressure system shifts to the east, sunshine will mix with some clouds on Friday. It will be a touch bit warmer and a little more humid than recent days with highs in the lower to middle 80s.
The weather pattern gets a lot more complicated over the upcoming weekend as we will be sandwiched between two systems, an upper level low pressure system to our west and a coastal storm system to our east. At this point we’re going to stay in between the two areas of very unsettle weather, but any shift in either system can change our forecast. We’re still probably going to have more clouds than sunshine on Saturday but only a couple of stray showers, and only a slight chance for a thunderstorm. Highs on Saturday will be in the 70s which will be a bit cool for the pools. Sunday will not change much with just a few more in the way of showers and a thunderstorm around, especially the farther east you are in our region. Highs on Sunday will still be in the 70s, but it will continue to turn more humid. We’ll have more clouds than sunshine on Monday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be near to just above 80. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain a bit unsettled with times of clouds and sunshine along with a couple of showers and thunderstorms in the region each day, especially in the afternoon hours. Any of these showers and thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours. Highs will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will subside a little later next week.
