Weather

Tonight is going to be warmer than most of the days that we had so far this month. We’ll have patchy clouds along with lows in the 50s. Friday into Saturday will bring a nice taste of summer with highs well into the 70s to near 80.

We’ll have some sunshine and a gusty wind on Friday. A front to our north will draw a little closer and bring us a few more in the way of clouds on Saturday but we should stay unseasonably warm. Of course this time of the year, warmth and wind really elevates the wildfire risk. The warmth is not going to last through the weekend.

A back door cold front from the north looks like it will sink through the region Saturday night into Sunday. As this happens temperatures will take a tumble as much cooler and damp air moves back into the region. We’ll have a cloudy and damp day Sunday with some rain and drizzle. While temperatures will start in the 60s, the mercury will likely drop through the 50s and maybe even into the 40s on Sunday. A storm system will bring a stronger cold front in from the west with some rain and maybe thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures will not get out of the 40s to lower 50s on Monday with rain that will likely be heavy at times. Behind the front, it will be brisk and chilly with a good deal of clouds along with scattered sprinkles, maybe flurries Tuesday. Highs will be in the 40s which is well below average for the second half of April. Wednesday and Thursday will bring a little rebound in temperatures with a mix of clouds and sunshine each day.
