Evening Weather Forecast Monday, September 11th, 2017

We’ll have a partly to mostly cloudy sky tonight with the clouds thinner the farther north you get. There will be less fog than last night. Lows will be in the 40s to near 50 so it will still be seasonably cool. We’ll have clouds and sunshine Tuesday. There will be more in the way in clouds farther to the south, more in the way of sunshine farther to the north. But these clouds will start to thicken from the south to the north later in the day. There could be some drizzle later in the day, especially in the counties along the Maryland border. High temperatures Tuesday will range from the 60s across the higher terrain of Somerset County to the middle 70s to the north of I-80 where there will be more sunshine.

An easterly flow combined with some moisture from Irma to our southwest will give us damper weather for the middle into the latter part of the week. Wednesday will be rather cloudy and more humid with some showers and drizzle. Highs on Wednesday will near 70. Thursday and Friday will also feature more clouds than sunshine with showers and drizzle possible with highs not from the 70° mark. Even though some of this moisture will technically be from Irma, it is not going to be anything out of the ordinary. Eventually a ridge of high pressure aloft will build over the region and we will warm over the weekend with a mix of clouds and sunshine each day. There will only be a slight chance for pop up shower or two. Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s. Monday will also be warm and a bit humid with clouds and sunshine. After that point, we will have to watch what happens to hurricane Jose as that is forecast to be not too far to the east. We’ll continue to watch as time gets closer.
