We continue to have flooding across much of the region. Remember if you run into a flooded roadway, turn around and don’t drown. Even though the heaviest rain is done some of the rivers will continue to rise into tonight. The good news is all of these rivers will start to fall later tonight into Tuesday morning, and while there will still be some disruptions Tuesday morning. We will still have some showers and drizzle tonight along with areas of fog. Temperatures tonight will hold steady in the 50s.
This system will lift out on Tuesday but we will still have plenty of clouds and a leftover shower or drizzle in places. We’ll have a mix of clouds and sunshine Tuesday with highs in the middle to upper 60s. Wednesday will be even warmer with a mix of clouds and sunshine though thicker clouds and the chance for some rainfall approaching from the south. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 70s to near 80. What happens after Wednesday will really depend on Hurricane Florence. This storm system will be moving to the Carolina Coastline later Thursday. Right now it looks like Thursday will be mostly cloudy and a bit breezy with some rain and drizzle. We will have a better chance for some rainfall Friday into the weekend if moisture from Florence comes farther to the north. As of now it seems like Florence will stay to our south but that is something that we will continue to watch as time gets closer.
