Evening Forecast Saturday, September 8, 2018


There is a Flood Watch in effect for the entire area until 8 PM Monday. This is due to the rain that will be moving over the area from Tropical Storm Gordon that can bring a couple to a few inches of rain to our area.

Tonight showers will develop into a steadier rain as the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon will be moving into the area. It will be a cool night as our low temperatures will fall to the lower and middle 50s. Some of the colder spots may touch the upper 40s.

Sunday will be a cloudy and cool day with fog and rain that at times will be heavy that can create flooding issues, so preparations should be made. It will also be a cool day as our high temperatures will not get out of the 50s. Sunday night will continue to have rain at varying rates and it will again be cool as our low temperatures will be in the 50s. The rain will start to taper to showers on Monday, but at times it will still be heavy. It will be a cool day with our high temperatures in the middle to upper 60s. Tuesday will feature times of clouds and sunshine, but a shower or two cannot be ruled out. It will turn out to be a warm day as our high temperatures will reach well into the 70s. Wednesday will feature intervals of clouds and sunshine with a small chance for a shower. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s. As we head into Thursday we will have a mostly cloudy sky with some showers possible to the shower and east. Thursday through Friday and Saturday will depend on Florence. Right now Friday and Saturday will have plenty of clouds with rain possible. High temperatures will be within a few degrees either side of 80.
