A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Blair, Cambria, Somerset, Huntingdon, and Bedford counties until 11 PM tonight.
Parts of Elk and Cameron counties are under a Flood Advisory until 7:15 tonight.
The showers and thunderstorms will taper off around between 10 and 11 tonight. Then the rest of the night will feature a good deal of clouds with some lingering showers and a rumble of thunder.
Mother’s Day will have a good deal of clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms. It will be a cooler day with high temperatures only in the 60s. So it will be more of an inside day. Sunday night will have low temperatures again falling to the 50s. We can have a shower or two early Monday, otherwise the clouds will be breaking for sunshine. Our high temperatures will rebound back into middle and upper 70s. We will have clouds and sunshine for our Tuesday, but there is the slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm. High temperatures will be within a few degrees either side of 80. We will continue to have clouds and sunshine on Wednesday, but there will be a shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will reach well into the 70s. Thursday and Friday will turn out to be similar days with plenty intervals of clouds and sunshine. There will also be some showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures both days will be in the lower and middle 70s.
