Weather

Tonight we will have increasing clouds with some showers and freezing rain developing. Low temperatures will be falling down into the lower and middle 20s, but will be near freezing by sunrise tomorrow. Due to freezing rain concerns the National Weather Service has issued the following advisories:

There is a Winter Weather Advisory for Jefferson County from 3 to 11 AM for Freezing rain. Elk, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, and Bedford counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 AM until 12 PM Sunday for freezing rain. Cameron and Centre counties are under the Winter Weather Advisory from 8 AM until 2 PM Sunday for Freezing rain. Ice accumulation can be up to a tenth of an inch, which can create slick conditions on untreated surfaces.

The entire viewing area can see some freezing rain to start off the day, but will change to all rain by the afternoon hours as our high temperatures will be in the middle to upper 30s. The rain will taper to showers by the end of the day. The showers will come to an end tomorrow night, but it will still be rather cloudy with our low temperatures only fall into the lower and middle 30s. Sunday will have a blend of clouds and sunshine. It will be a breezy and mild day as our high temperatures will reach the 40s to around the 50-degree mark. Monday will be a cold day with a wintry mix that will change to rain briefly and then change to snow showers. High temperatures Monday will reach the upper 30s to the lower 40s. We will have clouds and some sunshine Tuesday with scattered snow showers. It will be a cold and blustery day as our high temperatures will be a few degrees either side of 30. Wednesday will feature clouds and sun with high temperatures in the 20s to near 30. We will have plenty of sunshine on Thursday and Friday with high temperatures in the 30s.
