Tonight we will have increasing clouds with some showers and freezing rain developing. Low temperatures will be falling down into the lower and middle 20s, but will be near freezing by sunrise tomorrow. Due to freezing rain concerns the National Weather Service has issued the following advisories:
There is a Winter Weather Advisory for Jefferson County from 3 to 11 AM for Freezing rain. Elk, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, and Bedford counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 AM until 12 PM Sunday for freezing rain. Cameron and Centre counties are under the Winter Weather Advisory from 8 AM until 2 PM Sunday for Freezing rain. Ice accumulation can be up to a tenth of an inch, which can create slick conditions on untreated surfaces.
The entire viewing area can see some freezing rain to start off the day, but will change to all rain by the afternoon hours as our high temperatures will be in the middle to upper 30s. The rain will taper to showers by the end of the day. It will be a breezy and mild day as our high temperatures will reach the 40s to around the 50-degree mark.
