Evening Forecast Friday, June 1, 2018

We’ll have a couple of isolated showers and thunderstorms this evening then more numerous showers and thunderstorms later. Any of these can be heavy with flooding downpours. Remember, if you hear thunder, head indoors. Later tonight will remain mostly cloudy and humid with areas of fog and low temperatures in the 60s, once again, some places barely into the 60s.

The front that brought the showers and thunderstorms will stall just to our south on Saturday and will keep our weather unsettled through the weekend. We’ll have more clouds than sunshine on Saturday with more peeks of sunshine to the north and a chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm farther to the south. Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s to near 70. A wave of low pressure will develop along this front Saturday night and may through some showers back into the region into Sunday, especially south of I-80. It will be cooler on Sunday with more clouds than sunshine and highs in the lower 70s. Some places may have a tough time getting out of the 60s. It’s going to be a close call for rainfall for the Children’s Miracle Network Celebration at DelGrosso’s Amusement park.

This area of low pressure will move off to the east for the for early next week. Behind it, some cooler air will move in for the beginning of next week. Monday and Tuesday will be comfortable with a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the 60s to the lower 70s. There is a chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on either day but most of the time looks rain free and the better chance will be on Tuesday as a front moves into the region. The chance for a shower or thunderstorm will be even smaller on Wednesday with clouds and sunshine and highs in the lower to middle 70s. Thursday will be partly sunny and a little warmer.
