Cool-Air Damming and Thunderstorms

Tonight the cloud cover increases. There could be a few sprinkles and some drizzle for our eastern counties tonight. The winds will come out of the east-southeast and that will usher in cooler air from the Atlantic. The cool air will settle into the valleys tonight and that could lead to some drizzle. Tonights lows will be in the upper 40s to the low to mid 50s.

Thursday will be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. The eastern counties will see more showers and drizzle throughout the day while the western counties will see showers and thunderstorms. There will be a wide range in our temperatures tomorrow.

The eastern counties will be cool with the highs in the low to mid 60s while the western counties will be in the upper 60s to the low to mid 70s. The western counties will have winds from the south-southwest. That is a warm flow for us. The eastern counties will have a cool easterly flow.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move in during the evening as a cold front move in. That cold front will stall over us for Friday. Friday will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Despite the clouds and rain we will remain warm with the highs in the low to mid 70s.
