Breaking Down the Timing of the Snow Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the southern half or Central Pennsylvania. A warm front will bring steady and at times heavy snow to the region this evening. The southern counties will see the snow first and will accumulate the higher snow amounts. Sho how much snow could we get when will it arrive and exit Central Pennsylvania.

Bedford and Somerset Counties: (Under The Winter Weather Advisory)

The snow will arrive in Somerset county first then it will move into Bedford county between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Bedford to Somerset counties will pick up between 3-5 inches of snow. The roads will be a bit slick and snow covered tonight and also Friday morning, so use caution. The snow will wrap up by mid-morning and there will be a few flurries in the afternoon.

Cambria, Blair and Huntingdon Countuies: (Under The Winter Weather Advisory)

The snow will arrive between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. this evening. The snow will be steady and heavy at times throughout the overnight hours. These counties will pick up 1-3 inches of  snow. The roads will be a bit slick and snow covered tonight and also Friday morning, so use caution. The snow will wrap up by mid-morning and there will be a few flurries in the afternoon.

Clearfield and Centre Counties: The southern half of these counties will pick up 1-3 inches of snow. The northern half will get less than 1 inch. A few roads will be slick and snow covered, so use caution. The snow will wrap up by mid-morning and there will be a few flurries in the afternoon.

Jefferson, Elk and Cameron Counties: If you live north of I-80 you will see a few passing snow showers. Most people will wake up to a fresh dusting of snow. The snow will wrap up by mid-morning and there will be a few flurries in the afternoon.
