KENNEDY, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a man shot and wounded by police during an undercover drug sting in western Pennsylvania is facing aggravated assault and other charges.

Police say 27-year-old Chase Kenney is also charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangering and resisting arrest after the 2:15 p.m. Tuesday events in a shopping center parking lot in Kennedy Township.

Police allege he twice rammed an unmarked police vehicle with two officers inside and accelerated his sport utility vehicle toward other officers standing nearby. Three opened fire.

Kenney was taken for treatment of arm wounds and facial injuries from bullet fragments. The officers in the rammed vehicle had minor injuries.

Court documents don’t list an attorney representing Kenney and messages left at numbers listed for him weren’t immediately returned Wednesday.
