Ryan ejected, Curve fall in series finale to Seawolves

Sometimes one more word is one too many.

Altoona Curve manager Michael Ryan was ejected from Sunday night’s game, which the Curve fell 4-3 to the Erie Seawolves in extra innings.

Ryan was ejected after the umpires overturned a foul ball call. A chopper to third with sideways spin was missed by third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes and rolled foul. The umpires met in the middle of the diamond and determined the ball made contact with Hayes’ hand making it a fair ball.
