Two Penn State Defenders Land on All-Big Ten First Team

Penn State cornerback Amani Oruwariye and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos gathered some postseason attention Tuesday.

Oruwariye earned first team All-Big Ten honors by both the coaches and media. Gross-Matos earned first team honors by the media and third team honors by the coaches.

Below is a summary of Penn State’s defensive and special teams Big Ten honors handed out Tuesday:

CB Amani Oruwariye: First Team All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

DE Yetur Gross-Matos: First Team All-Big Ten (media), Third Team All-Big Ten (coaches)

DE Shareef Miller: Third Team All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

S Garrett Taylor: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

DT Robert Windsor: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

CB John Reid: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

S Nick Scott: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (media)

LB Micah Parsons: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (media)

Return Specialist KJ Hamler: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten (coaches and media)

The Big Ten will announce its offensive selections Wednesday.
