Penn State is back in the NCAA Tournament, and it will start in University Park on Nov. 30 on with a 5 p.m. match between Syracuse (18-8) and Yale (19-4), and the second match of the night at 7:30 p.m. will feature the host Nittany Lions and Howard (20-10).

The two first round winners will square off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 1.

Penn State is one of seven Big Ten teams to make the tournament, as Minnesota and Illinois both earned top-four seeds to have the opportunity to host both first and second rounds, and the regional rounds, as Minnesota is the No. 2 seed, and Illinois is the No. 3. Nebraska, the No. 7 seed, and Wisconsin, the No. 6 seed, will host first and second rounds, while Michigan and Purdue are also in the field of 64.

First- and second-round matches will be played November 29 through December 1 at 16 campus sites. Teams winning both matches will move on to regional play December 7 and 8. Regionals for the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship will be held at four non-predetermined campus sites, which will be announced after play concludes, on December 1 based on the highest seeds remaining. At each site, four teams will compete in single-elimination regional semifinal competition.
