After squeaking out a victory Saturday at Indiana, Penn State was rewarded in the polls, well at least a little bit.
The Nittany Lions moved up 1 spot in the AP poll to #17 whiles staying put in the coaches poll at 16. Penn State’s next opponent, Iowa, is ranked 18 in both polls. The Hawkeyes are 6-1 to start the year.
Ohio State, who got trounced Saturday night at Purdue, fell all the way to 11th. Michigan, who Penn State will travel to in two weeks, is now the highest ranked Big Ten team at #5.
And Appalachian State, you know the team Penn State barely beat in week 1, well they haven’t lost since that game, and have now cracked the AP Top 25.
