Penn State rally not enough, fall to Ohio State 28-17

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTAJ) — Penn State was down 21-0 early in third quarter, then Will Levis came in after a Sean Clifford injury.

Penn State would rattle of 17 straight points, but a fourth quarter touchdown from Ohio State and two defensive stops seals Ohio State’s win.


Fourth Quarter:

Ohio State wins 28-17.

Justin Fields finds Chris Olave for a 28 yard touchdown. Ohio State leads 28-17 with 14 minutes left.


Third Quarter:

At the end of the third quarter, Penn State trails 21-17.

Jake Pinegar knocks in a field goal to cut Ohio State’s lead to 21-17 with 4:22 left in the third quarter.

Penn State quarterback Will Levis runs in a one yard touchdown. Ohio State leads 21-14 with 7:54 left in the third quarter.

Penn State running back Journey Brown finds the endzone for a 18 yard touchdown. Penn State trails 21-7.

Justin Fields finds KJ Hill for a 24 yard touchdown. Ohio State leads 21-0 with over 11 minutes left in the third quarter.


Second Quarter:

At halftime Ohio State leads 14-0.

JK Dobbins runs in a one yard touchdown. Ohio State leads 14-0 with 2 minutes left in the second quarter.


First Quarter:

Ohio State’s JK Dobbins rushes for a four yard touchdown. Ohio State leads 7-0 with 7:08 left in the first quarter.
