Franklin stresses investment not pull back despite consecutive losses

Nittany Nation

It’s been tough sledding for Penn State recently.

The Nittany Lions blew their second consecutive fourth quarter lead Saturday in a loss to Michigan State. Penn State’s last five losses have been by a combined 12 points. However, despite the loss, Head Coach James Franklin said this is not the time to abandon the program.

“When you invest a lot in something and you don’t have the success you think you should have, a lot of people, a lot of organizations will invest less and I’m a big believer in that’s actually when you invest more. You continue to invest more and you drive through those situations and you drive through those circumstances. I don’t know a profession, I don’t know a career, I don’t know a game where you can have a high level of success without a high level of investment,” Franklin said.

Penn State hits the road this week to take on Indiana with kickoff slated for 3:30 pm.
