NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Taylor Swift made an appearance Thursday morning at a new mural in The Gulch, long rumored to be linked to the superstar’s upcoming album.
Crowds gathered early in the morning as the artist behind the latest mural in the Gulch arrived to make some last-minute touch-ups.
The mural, which is of large butterfly wings, was rumored to be linked to an announcement at midnight by superstar Taylor Swift.
Artist Kelsey Montague told News 2 she wanted to freshen up the paint of the mural for the first day of the NFL Draft in Nashville.
Montague stenciled the letters ME! onto the mural as News 2 cameras were rolling.
Swift appeared around 11:30 a.m. and posed for a photo in the center of the mural’s butterfly wings. She stopped and spoke with fans, taking selfies along the way.
She said on her Instagram account she commissioned the mural and put clues about her latest song inside the butterfly’s wings.
