Trailing 10-3 at the half Saturday against Buffalo, Penn State needed a spark.

They moved the ball on their first possession of the second half, only to have it come to a halt after Ricky Slade fumbled in Buffalo territory. That’s when senior cornerback John Reid turned the tables.
