The NBA board of governors approved a plan that will send 22 teams to Orlando, Florida, to finish the 2019-20 season.

According to reports Wednesday, the NBA is set to resume play on July 31. The NBA finals could wrap up at the latest on October 12.
According to a report by the Associated Press, teams will play eight games to determine playoff seeding before postseason play begins. The cutoff being that teams must be within six games of a playoff spot at this point. This means the Philadelphia 76ers have clinched a playoff spot with only eight regular-season games remaining.
The teams who will be on the outside looking in are: Charlotte, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Cleveland, Minnesota and Golden State. These are the eight teams that now know their seasons are over.
