Lenny and Cindie Huhn, from Altoona are lifelong Steeler fans.
They haven’t missed a game at Heinz Field in 9 years. They also haven’t missed a tailgate.
They run the “Renegade Tailgate,” which sits near the Carnegie Science Center, just outside Heinz Field.
“Same parking spot for 9 years,” Lenny Huhn says. “I joke, that me and Mr. Rooney are the only 2 that have a reserved parking space.”
The Huhns entertain upwards of 200 people every home game, even former and current Steeler players and families.
Former Steeler wide receiver Louis Lipps attends the Renegade Tailgate.
“I remember when I used to drive in, after we had pre-game meal, coming into Three Rivers, and I see all these people out in the parking lot at like 8 o clock in the morning, ” said Lipps. “I’m like what is wrong with these people? They don’t have no life, ya know? Well, now I see I why, and now I’m in their shoes, and I love it!”
You can bet the Renegade Tailgate will be rocking when the Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night at Heinz Field. Kick-off is set for 8:20.
