The Bishop Carroll girl’s basketball team has become one we’ve gotten used to seeing late into March.
Last year, the Huskies made a major run through the playoffs, before coming up short to Juniata Valley in the state semifinals.
Now, the Huskies are back with a vengeance, having started the season 13-1.
And they’re using motivation from that loss last March to fuel that success.
“I think that losing last year in the final four game, we were just really motivated to come and start off hot. We really want to get back to where we were before,” says senior Alivia Borlie.
“That’s fueled the fire tremendously. The girls know what they want now. They knew they didn’t succeed last year and they want to build on that this year. They want to take it to the next level and they want to make it to states,” adds head coach Bob Gongloff.
