Weather Extra – July Review/August Preview

July was seasonably warm and humid. High temperatures were slightly below average while lows were a couple degrees above average. This was thanks to a wet month with a surplus of over an inch of rain compared to the long-term average.

August is a warm month but with daylight hours shrinking, temperatures start to wane. Fog also tends to become more prominent along with a decrease in thunderstorm activity.
