Penn State center Mike Watkins cemented his place in Penn State basketball Friday.

Watkins scored his 1000th point in a 87-58 win over Central Connecticut State. He finished with eight points and eight rebounds in the win.

Myreon Jones led all scorers with 21 points and hit four three-pointers.
