CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Centre County commissioners approved a proposal on Tuesday to use a tower in Miles Township for additional 911 services.

The Winehead tower, currently used by McKay Brothers Networking, was offered to the county.

The commissioners said it could help improve service in dead zones on portions of mountains in Miles Township and provide more coverage across the area to help more people reach emergency services.
