UPDATE: Temporary power outage planned for Blair County canceled

UPDATE: The planned power outage in Blair County has been cancelled, according to Penelec spokesperson Todd Meyers.

No new date has been scheduled at this time. Meyers noted that customers should update Penelec when they change their phone numbers so that they can be contacted about future planned outages.

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Some Blair County residents will temporarily lose power later this week during a planned outage by Penelec.

The company will turn off power for customers in Tyrone this Friday for equipment upgrades for what could be up to five-hour blocks of time.

Power will shut down at different times depending on where you live in Tyrone.
