SFU player arrested for punching officer

A Saint Francis University men’s basketball player is in jail after allegedly punching a university police officer.
 
Police say 21 year old Basil Thompson, a Junior forward with the Red Flash got confrontational with an officer in St. Louis Hall around 10 p.m. Saturday night after a complaint of loud music.
 
Thompson allegedly punched the officer in the face and the head, before another officer then had to tase him.
 
Thompson was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest and was placed in the Cambria County prison.
