Scientists predict record summer temperatures in years to come

News

(CNN) — A new study suggests that cool summers could be a thing of the past.

Scientists predict more than half of the world will see record temperatures every year in the coming century. They used 22-climate models for their forecast.

They tie the rising temps to the rising global greenhouse gas emissions.

Experts say the world is already seeing record highs but the warm weather has not been uniform. Earlier studies have shown the planet is generally in a warming trend.
