We have had plenty of sunshine throughout the day and it has been very warm and on the muggy side. High temperatures so far this afternoon have reached well into the 80s and in some spots the 90s. With dewpoint temperatures in the middle 60s, it does feel like we are in the lower to middle 90s. You will want to be sure to limit time outside, stay hydrated, bring any pets inside, and check on your neighbors. You can also go to community places where the A/C is running if you don’t have one.
The rest of the night will be clear to mostly clear with low temperatures only falling into the 60s and near the 70 degree mark. The heat and humidity will continue through the weekend and early next week. We will be a little closer to average late next week, but there will be more details on WTAJ News at 6.
