Pennsylvania Attorney General joins lawsuit

Regional News

(WTAJ) — Pennsylvania’s Attorney General is joining a lawsuit that opposes the Trump Administration’s new rule governing the treatment of children in immigration custody.

Josh Shapiro is one of 20 Attorney General’s arguing that the rule eliminates critical protections, guaranteed by the current agreement.

The coalition of AG’s says the change could cause prolonged detention for the children, which would cause them irreparable harm.
