Police patroling roads, preparing for Super Bowl LI

News
Police will be increasing their presence over the weekend, in preparation for Super Bowl LI.

The Blair County DUI Task Force will be out at check-points and patrols in order to make sure those celebrating the game are doing so responsibly. Duncansville Police Chief Jim Ott hopes that those drinking will purposely stay off the road.

“We want to make sure that if you’re going to take those plans to go out, take those plans a little further, be responsible, make sure you have a designated driver, take a cab, stay where you’re going to be at, but by no means do we want anyone behind the wheel that is impaired,” Chief Ott said.

The chief also added that DUI’s are avoidable if people make the right decisions to drink responsibly.
