Pitt-Johnstown wrestler found dead

The Cambria County coroner was called to the scene of a death investigation at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown campus.

Cambria County dispatch said one person was found dead on Student Union Drive on campus.

Pitt-Johnstown Police and the Pennsylvania State Police were on scene.

Tammy Barbin, the President of Student Affairs, said investigators do not suspect foul play.

A message from Pitt-Johnstown President Jem Spectar:
 
It is with great sadness that I share with you the loss of one of our university family, Nick Roberts. The death occurred earlier this evening in his room. The cause of death is not known at this time, but foul play is not suspected.
 
Nick is a senior in the class of 2017. We also know Nick as a standout member of our Mountain Cat wrestling team.
 
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents, family, friends and loved ones.
 
More information will follow as it becomes available.
 
Counseling services will be available throughout the day Sunday in the Student Union.
 
 
Nick Roberts was a 2016 Division II national champion. He was also a graduate of North Star High School in Somerset County.
