Jim Beam warehouse catches fire, burns thousands of bourbon barrels

National News

(CNN) — A massive fire at a Kentucky Jim Beam facility overnight.

Officials say there are about 45,000 barrels of bourbon in one of the buildings.

Investigators suspect a lightning strike may have sparked the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

Almost all bourbons are made in Kentucky, but contrary to common belief, it does not have to be made there to be considered bourbon.

It only has to be made in the U.S.
