How far would you go to save a furry critter?

When 19-year-old Chris Felix thought he hit a squirrel, he pulled over to check to see if the squirrel was ok. Chris found the squirrel laying belly up, although it didn’t appear that he had been ran over by the car.

Two police officers from the Twin Cities police department saw Chris in bent over on the curb and decided to investigate.

That’s when the officers noticed that Chris was giving the squirrel CPR. After about 20 minutes of giving tiny chest compressions on the squirrel he got up and ran away!

The good Samaritan, Chris Felix says, ” I was like well you know you never get to see this I was there just trying to help it out you know – something little means a lot in the long run.”

Body cameras on the officers captured the heroic act. The police department posted the video to their Facebook page. The vide has gone viral,  already accumulating thousands of views and hundreds of shares.
