KINGSVILLE, TX (WTAJ) —A Texas mother was a bit confused Monday after her 2-year-old son managed to order 31 cheeseburgers through DoorDash.

On Monday, May 16, Kelsey Golden got a notification from DoorDash saying her order was “going to take a little longer than usual because of the size of the order.” She thought nothing of it and went back to work.

While Golden was working, she didn’t realize Barrett had unlocked her phone and ordered 31 cheeseburgers from McDonald’s. Typically Golden said she orders through DoorDash to have food sent to her kids at school, not to her home.

“He usually likes to take pictures of himself, and so he was doing that …I thought I’d locked the phone, but apparently I didn’t because then DoorDash came with 31 cheeseburgers,” Golden said.

Golden said the food cost $61.58, with a $16 tip and added fees the total cost of the meal came to $91.70. She also didn’t know what to do with the food, so she took to Facebook.

“I didn’t know what to do with them, he only ate half of one,” Golden said. “So I posted on a community page on Facebook here in Kingsville and asked if anybody wanted some.”

Some community members were able to stop by and get some cheeseburgers and others advised her on how to store the food, Golden said.

While Barrett only ate half of the cheeseburger, his mother has a great story to tell him when he’s older.
