Man to face jail time for shooting dog

A man found guilty of shooting his neighbor’s dog will go to jail.

63 year-old Michael Miller, from Howard, was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 1/2 months in Centre County jail for shooting his neighbor’s dog in the face in August 2014.

It happened on Swamp Poodle Road in Boggs Township. Miller said the dog walked onto his property. The dog, Copper, passed away on Thanksgiving Day last year. He was 10 years old.
