A man dies after jumping over a guardrail while running from police Monday night.
The incident happened on Osborne Street in Johnstown, Cambria County.
Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees says the man fell approximately 30 feet into the Stoneycreek River wall around 6:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
District Attorney Kelly Callihan said the man was arrested earlier Monday in Conemaugh Township. He was taken to Conemaugh Hospital and fled from there.
Johnstown Police saw and chased the man where he jumped the guardrail to his death.
His name is not being released until his family is notified. State Police are investigating.
