State police arrested an Indiana, PA woman for passing 2 counterfeit $100 bills. Police say the night of October 25th 27 year old Madison Bruner gave a counterfeit $100 to Kim Moon Restaurant and another one at Fox’s Pizza when they delivered to a residence on 3rd street. Police say she was also in possession of prescription bills without a prescription. The bill you see in the photo is a copy provided by State Police.

Indiana, PA – On October 25, 2018 at approximately 10:11 PM, a trooper was alerted by a manager at Sheetz, 380 Philadelphia Street, Indiana Borough, Indiana County, of a counterfeit US $100 bill bearing serial number LCQ0322158 having been passed earlier that day. The suspect was identified as Ms. Madison Rachele Bruner, 27 YOA, of Indiana, PA.
On October 25, 2018 at approximately 10:30 PM, Indiana Borough Police Department notified Troop A, Indiana that a counterfeit US $100 bill bearing the above-listed serial number was passed at Kim Moon, 718 Philadelphia Street, Indiana Borough. On October 26, 2018, Troop A, Indiana was notified of another counterfeit US $100 bill having been passed at Fox’s Pizza, 580 Philadelphia Street, Indiana Borough.
On October 26, 2018, Ms. Bruner was located and taken into custody at a residence along 3rd Street, White Township, where food deliveries were made by both Kim Moon and Fox’s Pizza on or before October 26, 2018. A counterfeit US $100 bill was passed as payment during those deliveries. Troopers then located and seized nine (9) counterfeit US $100 bills. Troopers also found Ms. Bruner to be in possession of prescription pills for which she did not have a prescription.
Ms. Bruner was charged with the following crimes before MDJ Christopher Welch and lodged in Indiana County Jail pending arraignment:
1. Title 18, Section 4101(a)(2), Forgery, Felony 2, 11 counts
2. Title 18, Section 3921(a), Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Felony 3, 3 counts
3. Title 18, Section 3922(a)(1), Theft by Deception, Felony 3, 3 counts
4. Title 18, Section 3925(a), Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3, 3 counts
5. Title 35, Section 780-113(a)(16), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor, 1 count
6. Title 35, Section 780-113(a)(32), Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor, 1 count
Ms. Bruner was arraigned on October 26, 2018 and was remanded to Indiana County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 monetary bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
The counterfeit bills were all identified as counterfeit US $100 bills, each bearing serial number LCQ0322158. Each of the bills also contained pink-colored foreign language characters on the front and back of the bill. Businesses in the Indiana, PA area should be alert for the possibility of additional counterfeit currency being circulated.
