Week of events to showcase county’s hidden treasures

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ)– A week of events will show off some of Clearfield County’s hidden treasures.

It’s part of National Travel and Tourism week.

This is the first time clearfield county is participating.

Monday through Friday will feature a different attraction and restaurant.

Visitors will also get a 10% off discount at each location.

The purpose is to showcase parts in the community people may not know about.

“You’re going to have the opportunity to see some new things, 10% off in most of those locations, and travel matters, so here’s an opportunity to come and see some of the hidden treasures in Clearfield County,” Visit Clearfield County director Josiah Jones said.

The full week of events is as follows:

May 6th

Liddle Art Gallery in Clearfield will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Pub & Grub in Clearfield will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

May 7th

Squirrel Tails for Trout fish stocking at Buck’s Pizza in Clearfield 3:30 p.m.

Grice Clearfield Community Museum in Clearfield, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Moena’s in Clearfield will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

May 8th

Winkler Art Gallery in DuBois will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Nelson House in DuBois will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

May 9th

The Inn at Narrows Creek in DuBois will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Applewood BBQ in Penfield will be open from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

May 10th

Squirrel Tails for Trout fish stocking across from the V.F.W. in Curwensville 4:30 p.m.

Bilger’s Rocks soft opening of their newly renovated visitor’s center 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
