Valpak raising money for breast cancer

Local News

A coupon company known for their blue envelope is going pink for the month of October.

Valpak is partnering with Susan G. Komen to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.

This month they want you to nominate heroes who are making an impact in the fight against breast cancer.

The company will choose 25 heroes to receive more than $800 worth of Kitchen Aid appliances.

The corporation and local franchises will give around $180,000 for breast cancer research this month.

“Changing it to pink, I think is really going to captivate some people and really get their attention to what we’re doing, and realize that we’re more than just a coupon retailer, we’re out here trying to help the community.” franchise owner of Valpak of Tri County Aaron Beatty said.

Envelopes will be arriving in the next few days.  Each envelope also offers a chance to win a Kitchen Aid blender.
