According to our news partners at the Tribune Democrat, State Police say Trooper Michael Stewart , who lost his life in that July crash, was at fault.
State police told the paper, that Stewart’s speed, as well as wet conditions and fog contributed to that July 14th crash, in which Trooper Stewart collided with a garbage truck in Ligonier Township. His partner and a passenger were also injured in that crash.
The report says nobody will be cited or charged in the crash.
