FERGUSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — Police have arrested D. Jacob Eshelman, 19, of New Enterprise, in connection with the hit-and-run crash with a woman on a bicycle on Monday, June 3.

Officers tell us they found Eshelman’s Letterman Jacket in the back seat of the car he was driving. 

Eshelman was driving the car that hit Nancy Antes, 66, of Stormstown while on her bicycle while on the 4400 block of Tadpole Road. She suffered broken bones in her ankle, leg, pelvis, ribs, and vertebrae and was taken in at Hershey Medical Center.

He admitted to the hit-and-run, hiding in the woods, breaking into two area camps and said he was planning to leave the state. 

Eshelman was arraigned and bail was set at $40,000. He is currently in the Centre County Correctional Facility.
