University Park Airport’s runway was closed for more than 5 hours on Tuesday. Here’s why

The University Park Airport runway was temporarily closed for about 5 and a half hours Tuesday night after a plane taxied onto a section that was closed due to snow, according to Penn State’s External Communications Manager Heather Robbins.

Passengers safely exited the plane and were shuttled to the terminal. One flight was diverted during the temporary closure, Robbins said. (Click here to read more)
