State College, Pa- Two vacant storefrontes on North Atherton Street will soon be filled with new businesses.

Uni-mart, the Centre County convenience store chain, will take up shop at the former home of Snappy’, which closed in October, 2018.

The owner of Uni-Mart says he’ll have an exact opening date released soon, after some inital inspections. He feels the location will be a prime-spot for business.

Just up the street, a Centre-First bank is looking to open. The bank would be the first full-service branch in the Centre County region.

Centre-first bank is a division of Old Dominion National Bank, which is based out of northern Virginia.

The bank is expected to open in the first quarter of 2019.
