Students at Brockway Area Junior Senior High School in Jefferson County exceeded all goals in their December food drive — now some teachers are about to get shaved.
Agriculture teacher Kyle Norman started the drive to give back to the school’s backpack food program.
Students were to bring in nonperishable food items and toiletries.
The highest goal was set at 1,000 items.
For each goal met, a certain teacher would shave his head or beard.
Students quickly surpassed that goal– bringing in more than 4,000 items.
Now eight teachers and one student will be shaved in an assembly Friday during 9th period.
