One library in our area is trying to make sure no one is left out in the cold.
The Roaring Spring Community Library started the “Take a Coat, Leave a Coat” program.
Anyone can come in and take what they need, whether it’s a coat or scarf for them or a family member.
One worker there said folks can always come in the library to warm up with hot chocolate and tea.
“We just want to be sure that everybody is adequately prepared or has adequate gear for this type of weather because it is really, really cold,” Cortney Gensimore, Staff Assistant at the Roaring Spring Community Library, said.
The library has even more coats and winter gear stored in their basement. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
