Students at Curwensville Area Elementary School got to experience Christmas traditions from around the world Monday.
Each classroom represented a different country.
Students traveled from room to room learning about how the people celebrate Christmas.
“I think it’s important kids get this experience so that way they see that there’s a world outside of their own hometown,” first grade teacher Josh Tkacik said. “They can get an appreciation of cultures that are different and similar to their own.”
Students participated in activities, crafts and even dances to help them experience the country’s culture.
This is the second year for Christmas Around the World at Curwensville Elementary.
