State to help pay for new voting machines

Local News

HARRISBURG (WTAJ) — Tuesday Governor Tom Wolf announced the state will help counties pay for new voting machines required by state law.

Wolf initially vetoed a bill aiming to do that last week. Currently, the state plans to reimburse all counties for 60% of the cost of the new machines.

In Centre County, that would amount to about $540,000 in state funds.
